The generation of the 60's are well aware that marijuana is is not a dangerous drug and should not be classified in the same category as herion. Criminal Justice educational books educate law enforcement students on the history of marijuana in regards to the US. It was an attempt to regain jobs back from the mexican population to the white population. Officials targeted marijuana only because it was the spanish group's drug of choice, and in their efforts the politicians ranted and raved of marijuana being a dangerous drug. Politicians gave marijuana its bad name for policial reasons only. If a man chooses to have a beer at the end of his day or a joint it should be his choice.
