David Berlind on MP3 tagging for podcasts

Saturday, April 9th, 2005

» How should MP3 files be tagged for podcasts? | Berlind’s Midnight Oil | ZDNet.com

I don’t blog much about podcasting here, I do enough of that at The New, New Podcast Review, but this post from David Berlind is interesting enough to warrant a comment and different enough from what I typically post at TNNPR […]

<i>Tempest</i> at the Stoughton Opera House

Saturday, April 9th, 2005

Last night the Stoughton Opera House hosted Tempest, a Celtic Rock band. It was the first show of their 2005 tour supporting their 15th anniversary box set.
Once again, I had a terrific experience as Technical Director for the Opera House. These folks were truly a joy to work with. In contrast to […]

This is going to take a while….

Granular blogging: now I think I get it

Thursday, April 7th, 2005

A few weeks ago I responded, rather passionately, to Robert Scoble Corporate Blog Tip #3 at The Red Couch. I think I missed the boat, at least a little bit.
I inferred, especially when considering Robert’s own style of blogging, that he meant to blog in little bits. I also, I think incorrectly, expanded […]

Talking Heads…

Monday, April 4th, 2005

I watched Robert Scoble interviewing Steve Gillmor about Attention.xml (video available at Ourmedia). I watched it during my workday, one of the few times that I have openly available for this kind of media consumption. I’ve been following Attention.xml for a while in subscriptions and tags and haven’t had time to thoroughly read […]

GMail adds rich-text editing

Saturday, April 2nd, 2005

In addition to the extra storage GMail added yesterday, they’ve also added richtext editing capabilities:

I’ll tell you what, GMail is far and away the best webmail experience I’ve had, and they keep making it better.
If anyone’s interested in an invite, I currently have 50.

Cat2Tag plug-in

Saturday, April 2nd, 2005

Edmundo Hidalgo has written a plug-in called Cat2Tag. This is a close approximation of a plug-in that I was considering writing; one that enabled you to create categories on the fly. I’ve had a need for this several times already, and I’ve only been on WordPress for about a month for this blog.
This […]

Yahoo!360 invites

Saturday, April 2nd, 2005

My thanks to Jeremy Zawodny for hooking me up with an invite to Yahoo!360. I’ve been playing around with it for a few days, and my overall response is positiv, although it’s not the kind of blogging software that appeals to me. More commentary after some more play, I suspect.
BTW, if anyone wants […]

Teach yourself PHP, Lessons 1 and 2

Friday, April 1st, 2005

I’m learning php.
Mostly I’m doing it because I want to be able to hack my blogs, both of which use some php (more for this one, somewhat less for The New, New Podcast Review). Maybe also writing a plug-in or two for WordPress.
Currently we’re not talking about using a book (although I have several) […]
