Thanks, Rojo-folk! (and new version of Rojolicious)

The folks over at Rojo have fixed a bug with the share page that was making the tag field disappear from the page. Now they’re back!
Rojo's tag field
Since I use Rojolicious as my main in-road to posting entries to de.icio.us, missing this field was kind of a big deal to me. Thanks, Rojo!

In concert with the return of the tag field, I’m moving a new version of Rojolicious to the download page. This version has been in testing by a band of Rojolicious subscribers for quite some time, but by the time it was ready the tag field had disappeared from the share page so there was no reason to update it. Now that the tags have returned I’m replacing the old version with this new one.

The new version adds the tags associated with the Rojo story you’re sharing to the del.icio.us pop up page automatically, saving you the effort of tagging the entry in the del.icio.us interface as well as in the Rojo interface. For me, this works very well with the hack I talked about earlier.

Now that this enhancement is released I’m unlikely to add anything else to Rojolicious - if I were to do more development I would probably try to get a Firefox extension put together; the additional changes I could see making in Rojolicious would work much better as options than as hard-coded values. If you haven’t already gotten Rojolicious 0.2 then you can download it here. If you’ve already downloaded the beta version, there are no functional changes in this version - just a little bit of clean up.
