Rojolicious users…
Anyone using Rojolicious should be aware (and probably already is) that there’s a potential problem with the migration scripts from Greasemonkey 0.3.x to 0.5.1. Apparently 0.5.2 fixed this problem, but I think that if you got 0.5.1 before 0.5.2 was available, 0.5.2+ didn’t resolve the issue (I say this because I was at 0.5.3 when I finally noticed the problem).
The problem was pretty substantial - I’m gathering that essentially Greasmonkey started looking in a different location for scripts, but the migration code didn’t move the scripts. There’s probably more to it than that as well. The end result is that none of my GM scripts did anything, and even after reinstalling Rojolicious it didn’t work. Looking in the Manage User Scripts dialog showed a completely blank window.
The instructions here fixed me right up, so if you’ve downloaded Rojolicious and haven’t gotten it to work, you might try the fix.
It took me quite a while to recognize the issue because I haven’t been sharing much in Rojo recently, and haven’t been spending much time online at all so the gaps in Greasemonkiness didn’t bother me until this morning. I also haven’t been keeping up on the GM mailing list fo quite a while either, or I probably would have heard about it sooner. More on the busy-ness later….
