Note
Rojo has removed the Share function for the time being. Feel free to download Rojolicious, but without that feature of Rojo it's essentially useless. Thanks for your interest, however.
Rojolicious
Rojolicious accepts a del.icio.us username and generates a greasemonkey script that rewrites the on-click event of the "Share" button on Rojo's share pages (pages that match the url pattern http://*.rojo.com/share/* ). Then, when that button is clicked not only will the story you're looking at be shared in Rojo, but it will also be posted to your del.icio.us account in a new window. The del.icio.us page is pre-populated with the link and title from the Rojo share page and the selected text in the Rojo page is placed in the extended field of the del.icio.us window (selected text in the comment box in Rojo does not transfer). The newest version also takes any tags already added to the story in Rojo and sends them to del.icio.us.The script currently relies on the html element naming in the Rojo Share page, which should be much more robust than the absolute element positioning I was using, but if Rojo changes the page substantially then this script will have to be updated. If you'd like me to notify you of updates to the script, fill in an email address (or subscribe to my blog's feed). Future tasks:
- I think I'm going to defer these, and perhaps include them in an extension - I think this is too much configuration for a greasemonkey script
- allow users to choose what to populate extended field in del.icio.us with (i.e. selected text, Rojo comment, both)
- add additional external clouds, either singly or in combination
